1.   Wendy welcomed everyone and had everyone introduce themselves.

2.   First item is to approve the September & October 2011 minutes.  Jessica Fitchett noted a correction for October minutes, which showed Jessica attending, but she said she did not.  Cheryl motioned to approve with correction.  Kelly seconded.

3.   Wendy discussed an idea from Claire Schapiro, a member at large.  Claire sent Wendy information for mini-seminars and approached Wendy at the October meeting to discuss.  The mini-seminars would be held in Sedona or Prescott.  Speakers’ fees would be from $0 to $400.  We would need to help cover location costs.  Wendy e-mailed idea out to the board, which had a mixed reaction.   Some don’t want to drive to Sedona.  This would be in addition to our monthly meetings.  Any thoughts?  Is anyone willing to drive to Prescott or Sedona for 2 CPE credits?  Wendy will send out whole PDF to entire Chapter and will be brought up for discussion again.

4.   Our December meeting will be a gift exchange.  Where should we go?  We have been to NiMarcos, Sakura & Taverna.  Wendy will send e-mail and we will vote on location by e-mail.

5.   Cheryl Heitz discussed a Special Meeting in December to discuss “Does ASWA still reflect what we are today?”  ASWA was formed in 1938.  Cheryl has this opportunity to have a focus meeting with our chapter, scheduled for the 8th of December in the National Bank Conference Room.  Only 2 people have responded so far.  Please RSVP if you can attend, Wendy & Diana gave Cheryl their RSVP at the meeting.  Cheryl will send out e-mail again.

6.  Wendy went over member accomplishments:  Kelly did her 60 miles in Phoenix.

7.  Mark Petterson with NAU was introduced as the speaker.

Program:                    Information Security: A University Perspective
